William Blake (1757-1827)

Blake fue un poeta, artista, místico inglés nacido en Londres, que inspiró a muchos poetas de la época BEAT (beatniks, en los 50s)

"To see the world in a grain of sand,
And Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour."

Eternity

He who binds himself to a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
He who kisses joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise

La frase más conocida de Blake es:
"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is - infinite."

por la cual Aldous Huxley tituló a un libro "The Doors of Perception"(1954) y Jim Morrison llamó a su banda The Doors.
